Renewable Northwest Project Announces New Hire

Portland, Ore. (February 7, 2013) - The region’s leading renewable energy advocacy group, Renewable Northwest Project, today announced that Amy Baird has joined the group as Communications Manager.  In this role, she will support RNP’s advocacy goals with strategic communications and active engagement with regional reporters.


Baird brings a wealth of communications experience to her new role. She has worked both nationally and internationally on communications for endangered species campaigns at the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, as well as on regional salmon issues at Save Our Wild Salmon.


"We are very pleased that Amy Baird has joined our team," said Rachel Shimshak, executive director at Renewable Northwest Project. "Amy’s experience with campaign advocacy, and both non-profit and industry supporters positions her perfectly for this role."


Baird has been published in print and online, and holds a B.A. from the University of the Pacific, where she studied international economics.
