New Policy Staff Join Renewable Northwest

Renewable Northwest is pleased to welcome two new policy staff to their team.

Hillary Barbour joined Renewable Northwest as their Policy Director in Portland, Oregon. She will oversee policy activities with key decision makers and allies across the organization’s four states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Kelly Hall has also joined Renewable Northwest as their Washington Policy Advocate, and will be based in Seattle, Washington where she will work in the policy and regulatory arenas to advance renewable resources.

“We’re thrilled to have these two new policy staff join our team at such a critical time for renewable energy development in the Northwest. Their expertise and enthusiasm will help guide our efforts towards a cleaner energy future,” said Rachel Shimshak, executive director of Renewable Northwest.

Barbour joins Renewable Northwest from Congressman Earl Blumenauer’s office, where she worked for 15 years, most recently as his Deputy District Director.  During that time, she worked extensively on agricultural, energy and environmental policy issues.

Hall is a recent graduate of the Evan’s School of Public Affairs where she earned her master’s of Public Administration with an emphasis on climate science and environmental management.
