Montana's green jobs key part of state economy

WASHINGTON — Montana boasts one of the highest concentrations of "green" jobs, but the growth of that environmentally friendly sector has been slower than the national average, a new report concludes. 

The Treasure State ranked 41st among states and the District of Columbia, registering about 14,200 of the approximately 2.7 million jobs in the "clean economy," according to the Brooking Institution's "Sizing the Clean Economy: A National and Regional Green Jobs Assessment."
