In
1994, a broad coalition of public-interest organizations and energy
companies created the Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) to actively
promote development of the region's untapped renewable resources.
RNP has proven to be a forceful advocate for expanding solar, wind
and geothermal energy in the Northwest.
The Renewable Northwest Project works for a clean energy future
by:
*Working
with local organizations and energy companies to get workable renewable
projects in the ground
*Actively promoting policies that support renewable energy development
*Encouraging utilities and customer groups to invest in new renewables
*Nurturing the development of a market for renewables.
