DAVID W. McCLAIN
Dave McClain is an environmental and project development consultant specializing in renewable energy project develoment, including environmental management and mitigation programs. Programs that he developed for the Coso, California geothermal project won a National Environmental Achievement Award. He has worked for academia, government, major construction companies and helped to start the renewable energy company CalEnergy/Mid American. Dave has been appointed to a number of ecosystem advisory councils by the Chief of the US Forest Service and the State Director of the BLM. He has co-chaired the Newberry National Monument Advisory Council, is currently a member of the USFS/BLM Deschustes Province Advisory Council, has recently chaired the Rangeland Ecosystem Advisory Council for the BLM which develop new standards and guidelines for grazing, and is currently chair of the Hosmer Lake and Cascades Lakes Ecosystem Advisory Council for the US Forest Service. Dave is also the President of the NW Section of the Geothermal Resources Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Geothermal Resources Council.
