MONTANA
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION CENTER
MEIC is a non-profit,
grassroots environmental group founded in 1973 with approximately
5,000 members. MEIC is Montana's leading activist energy policy
organization. The group lobbies the Montana Legislature and is a
"watchdog" over the implementation of environmental laws by executive
agencies. It also provides assistance to citizens in communities
when environmental conflicts arise and brings lawsuits to enforce
compliance with environmental laws.
